At RTD, we’re committed to the highest standards in public transit. From bus and rail, providing our customers with the best possible service is our priority. Each month we highlight an operator of bus or rail for their exceptional customer service. This month we would like to share a commendation for the great work of our afternoon Civic Center street supervisors, Hazel Wing, Carl Brown and Paul Gaschler.

April 2017 - Operators

“I just want to commend the RTD Street Supervisors who every day do a fantastic job keeping the routes on schedule and informing riders of any delays. I haven't been riding long (2 weeks, really), but each afternoon, I am greeted by the street supervisors with a friendly "hello" and a check-in with our route, where the driver is and if he or she is on schedule. I realize life happens, delays occur, but it’s really nice to know that you have a great team on the streets working and ensuring that your passengers are taken care of.

My father was in transportation management for 30 years in various bus systems across the country. I intimately saw what delays could do to an entire community, what one bad employee could affect, and how a simple smile and hello can go a long way to rider satisfaction. Please give my commendation to your afternoon street supervisors at Civic Center for continuing to provide safe and friendly service, day after day for commuters, such as myself.”
